Keeping baby asleep at night

Edit: Please read the whole post, a lot of comments are suggestions to things I've already done. I'm U.K based too so dummy=pacifier.

I'm also not talking about my baby sleeping through!! I mean keeping my baby asleep longer than 5 minutes after being put down.

My baby on a good night wakes a couple of times, and while it's really easy to get her to sleep with a quick feed and closeness, I always allow at least half an hour for her to go to sleep properly before moving her back in her crib.

She has a sleeping bag/swaddle to keep all the warmth in, and I've even got a little U shaped blanket rolled up just in case she still wants to feel extra snug, though I don't always use it.

But regardless of how gently or slowly I do things, the second she is laid down she starts squirming and opening her eyes. It's not gas either because she only squirms just enough for her to wake and then it stops and the fussing to be picked up starts, and the instant I hold her she goes right back to sleep.

It will take around 2/3 hours for me to get her back to sleep properly and it usually consists of me half climbing in her crib and putting my nipple in her mouth because it's the only thing that settles her, but even that can take 20 minutes and half the time she will wake up when I take it away. She doesn't even suck it she just likes holding it, but she won't take a dummy.

It's all well and good when I say she gets up twice a night, but pointless if she's awake 2/3 hours between sleeps.

I'm going out of my mind here, I need help 😩
