8 week old finally started nursing

I've struggled with breast feeding since I gave birth. Emergency C Section prevented me from nursing for the first 4 hours after birth. Then my LO had a hard time latching. He ended up losing too much weight and I was instructed to start bottle feeding. I kept pumping and he has been bottle fed on breast milk since we got home from the hospital. The day after introducing a bottle he would no longer take my breast. I was devastated and refused to give up. I went to lactation and also my doctor. That was really no help. They provided me with nipple shields. He still screamed at me whenever I tried to nurse him. Finally at 8 weeks I bought different nipple shields. Much larger ones. He latched on immediately and has been nursing consistently for the last few days. We finally figured it out. I'm over the moon happy. I just wanted to share this as an idea for anyone else struggling the way I was.
