HPT Accuracy...What does that mean??

Genuine question here. When someone asks what pregnancy test brands are accurate, what exactly are they asking?

If you don’t see a line, it doesn’t mean the test isn’t accurate...it (usually) means you tested too early or you’re just not pregnant.

On the flip side, some give indent lines that are so bad they actually do look positive. But I think for the VAST majority of the time, if you see an indent, it’s caused by you looking too hard and over-analyzing...not the test. I mean, the test HAS to have a line somewhere for the dye to go.

So when someone asks what the most accurate brand is, what are they really asking? Are they asking which brand detects pregnancy the earliest, or what bring gives fewest indent lines, or something else?
