Anyone had AWFUL back pains for days before labour?

Every other day for around 10 days I've had severe constant back pain but nothing else, other than some irregular braxton hicks sometimes 12 in an hour then stop. Oh and I have been VERY emotional crying alot.

I'm 38+1 with no 2 first was induced so not sure what to expect this time I just know I feel very off. Currently with hot water bottle after a bath and took paracetomal. Also had a urine sample to rule out infection and all clear.. so is this early labour or just end of pregnancy surely the back cramping isn't this severe at the end unless it's labour?
