Communicating with my sons teacher

My son has a hard time with school work, he’s in 2nd grade. I recently asked his teacher through the Remind app how was he doing. She said he has a hard time focusing and a hard time with tests. I would assume she would’ve been let me know this. When I asked for suggestions, she didn’t respond. I called the guidance office to get further assistance.. that was just some backstory for how I’m currently feeling.

I never try an immediately think people are discriminating against me because I’m black. But in this instance I feel there’s something going on. Am I completely out of line for thinking this way?? I mean my son is the only black kid in class.
