What I want to tell new Mums

Question

Please don’t worry.... if your baby wants a bottle/breastfeeds or pacifier or needs a diaper longer than other Moms you know.
Please don’t worry if your baby doesn’t sit or roll over or crawl or walk before other babies.
Please don’t worry if your baby doesn’t like solids straight away.
Please don’t worry if your baby doesn’t talk or babble before other babies or is delayed in speech.
Your baby and child is unique!
Don’t compare or let others make you feel bad.
They all get there in their own time. 
Have you ever been for a job interview and they’ve asked when YOU stopped using a pacifier? When you were dry at night? When you stopped sleeping in your parents bed?! 
It’s nobody’s business. You do what makes your baby happy as they will be much happier and secure adults if you just let them develop at their own pace in childhood.

Something else I feel like needs to be said here: Don't forget to advocate for your child!! You are their voice, your family knows them best. if you feel like your child might be autistic/disabled/anything, then speak up! I didn't, and it has delayed my son getting help for over a year 😔. At a time when help is crucial for young developing minds, the sooner they get help, the better their quality of life will be in the future.

I totally agree. Im a teacher and can honestly say those baby milestones don’t mean anything when children get older. Each child will progress at their own pace. Encourage and nurture as best you can but don’t stress.
