I feel alone
Why does no one tell you how lonely motherhood is? As soon as I had a baby my few friends flew the coop, I can’t even get them to text me back anymore so I’ve stopped reaching out.
My husband works full time but expects me to be the “full time parent” if you will. He thinks because he works and that I’m a SAHM then our daughter is my responsibility 24/7. Even on the weekends he doesn’t ask if I need a break and he sure as hell never offers to take care of her. The few times I’ve asked him to watch our daughter so I can run an errand I come home to find out he sent her to his mom so she can watch our daughter.
I feel trapped in our house by our daughters naps, aside from doctors appointments I think I’ve left the house maybe 5 times in the last three months. Yet he comes and goes as he pleases. He has friends over all the time but I haven’t had time to myself since I gave birth. I haven’t felt like an actual person or like myself in a very long time. I just feel like I’m “mom” and that’s it. I’ve completely lost myself, I really don’t know who I am anymore other than a mom.
I love my husband very much, we’ve been together since high school yet sometimes I feel like I deserve better. I’m feeling very lost and alone right now. I’m on medication for PPD and I feel like it’s helped significantly in every department except when it comes to me feeling so alone. That’s all, I just needed to vent.
