Insight or similar experience?

I have a situation at work over salary that is upsetting me.

I am a second year school nurse along with another girl. Our previous work experience is similar besides she has had two extra years in a hospital over me. She came from ED and I was ICU.

I found out she was making 12,000 more than me last year because she didn’t need the offered insurance. This year she enrolled due to divorce but is still making 11,000 more than me.

The part that is most frustrating to me is I was asked to be lead nurse over the district this year and I also have a bachelors degree while she just has an associates.

I am not upset at her in any way but just feel taken advantage of? by the school in a sense. It has made my morale drop for sure and it sucks because I really do like where I’m at and the job in general.

I just need advice on how to approach the situation when my annual meeting comes up. Our raises are fixed on percent. But do I tell them I know what she’s making? Do I hint I know? I’m just not really sure how to approach it.

Thanks!
