Is it ok / normal to want or even crave male attention while in committed relationship?

I guess it depends. I think wanting and craving it is weird, but being flattered if a man gives you a compliment is normal.

Sounds like you’re lacking attention & happiness in your relationship, so you need to get to the root of that problem. It’s not normal to look outside of your relationship for things your partner should be providing for you.
I don’t crave any male’s attention other than my man, I find other men attractive of course (mostly celebrities) I’m human but I don’t want to engage in conversation or get any kind of special attention from any other man.

It's fine to be flattered if someone gives you a compliment. It is not okay to desire attention and praise from other people when you're in a committed relationship. Honestly, even if you're single, you really shouldn't crave attention like this, that sounds like a serious self esteem issue.

I don’t think it’s okay or normal. I agree with the other comments that said this might stem from a lack or self esteem or lack of attention at home. Wanting to be liked by others and even enjoying some of that attention is one thing... craving or needing it is another.

It's kind of normal because of how society pushes us to value ourselves based on make attention, but I think it's a sign you need to learn to value yourself more legitimately. 
It's kind of sad to rely on male validation. I would say it's part of internalized misogyny, and that it's an unhealthy way to validate oneself- and yes, it can be a threat to your relationship if your partner isn't cool with you flirting with random dudes.

What kind of attention do you mean?
I think there’s many types of attention that people need, outside of their relationship, at different points in their life.  
Attention in other relationships is important for our health, wellbeing and resilience.  I think we depend entirely too much on our other half to fulfill ALL our needs.  
For example parental attention, attention from a mentor or teacher, attention from friends, community, religious/spiritual groups, friends in sports or craft groups are all places you might build caring relationships in.  Attention like this, from others, is completely healthy so long as their isn’t an abuse of an off balance power dynamic with an elder or person of authority.

It sounds like leading then on and playing games to me if you're actively trying to get male attention. But If a man gives it to you and you appreciate it but dont indulge it continue it then that's fine. Nothing wrong with enjoying a compliment I think the word crave is what makes it seem like you're searching it out and possibly crossing the line trying to get attention.

Yes it’s normal. Women want to be seen as desirable by other men and women. Women like to feel hot and validated and that’s just biology. Should they seek out that attention by jumping in others dms and thirst trapping while in a committed relationship no absolutely not. There are other ways to get the attention we naturally desire.

It depends. I think it's normal to like when guys give you attention when you look good. I have friends whose husbands like them to get dressed up and attract guys attention. I don't think it's okay to crave attention from a particular guy outside of your relationship. Focusing on someone outside the relationship means you aren't getting something inside the relationship.
