Bassinet or Crib for newborn???

Finishing up my registry and im undecided!

Whatever fits by your bed gets my vote. I’ve used my bassinet for all my babies. 
When you wake up every few hours to feed, burp, change you don’t want to go far... trust me. I pull mine right up to my bed at night and just reach over. Plus you can sometimes just give a little belly rub or pat and they doze off again. Why get up if you don’t have to!?

I found that the bassinet made my baby HATE the crib. She bashed her head on the bars all the time because she was used to the next to me bed we had that was soft.

I love having the bassinet right next to the bed so I can just drag him in to nurse in the middle of the night. He is now in a bigger bassinet, and I may rig up the crib to be used side car style. It's just so easy. Also, we did bassinet first because it clicked onto the stroller and was really easy to bring him in when he had fallen asleep on a walk, but no reason you couldn't just start in a crib if you wanted.

I use  both.  We have a 2 story house and during the day I use the pack n play with bassinet while we are downstairs and at night it’s the crib which is in her room upstairs.

I had pack n plays and a crib . Pack n play is a multi purpose things and can travel and if you spend more money it you get changing and napping bassinets all in one . All in all depends on the budget , what you have space for and what you like . I prefer the items I can get the most use out of .

We did a mini crib & our baby loves it
