"I told my kid I ate their Halloween candy"

So every year for awhile now, Jimmy Kimmel does a bit where he has parents send n videos of them telling their kids that they ate all their Halloween candy the day after Halloween. The top reactions from the kids get featured on his show.

Reactions are normally kids bursting into tears, some get angry and even violent, but a few aren't really bothered and forgive their parents.

Reading the comments, there's a pretty big debate if its crappy of the parents to do and unnecessary. People accuse the parents of being cruel to their kids just for the likes.

The other common comment is people saying that the kids with the super over the top reactions are spoiled and the parents are, again, crappy parents. (This , is normally directed at the videos of kids that are having super angry and violent reactions.)

So I thought I'd take it CC and see what your guys' thoughts are on it. Is it harmless good fun? Or is it really crappy of the parents to do to their kids?
