Do you think that some women who had a baby without an epidural look down on women who get them?

I feel like some do just because they were able to handle it. I don’t give a dam what anyone thinks though not everyone is the same & it doesn’t make you less of a mom ❤️

Some people will look down on others any chance they get just to feel better than. Maybe the mom the gave birth naturally looks down on people that took the epidural, also didn’t breastfeed & so the mom that does breastfeed is looking down on that mom for formula feeding. It’s a never ending cycle, be the change you want to see.

I have had 3 boys with an epidural and 1 daughter in between without an epidural. Honestly, I didn’t enjoy her birth, I was miserable and just wanted it over.

I selected no. I think any woman who given birth before, whether medicated or unmedicated, doesn't look down on others for their choice of laboring/birthing. I think that some women feel who do so (use the epi) are quick to assume that they are being judged and so are quick to defend themselves. As a woman who has labored/birthed both medicated and unmedicated, I find that when people ask me if my second was medicated or unmedicated, and they find out that it was unmedicated, they're quick to defend why they chose to use the epidural as if I'm judging them when in reality I'm not. I couldn't care less. It's just my preference. I have to admit that I find myself doing the same thing and defending my use of the epidural during my first birth when nothing negative was even said about the epidural. So, no, I don't believe that women are looked down on by other women for using the epidural. I think the woman who used epidural feels like she will be judged therefore perceives that everything asked pertaining to the epi is a judgement when it's not.

Some women, yes. Not all. I had major complications from my first epidural and decided I would never have one again, so my second I went without and it was so much better for my mentally. If I’d had a positive experience with the epidural I probably would have done it again. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I get asked if I got the epidural from women who aren’t even moms...... 😑 like wait till you feel the pain

I’ve done both.
With it sucked for me and baby, and without was amazing all around.
But that doesn’t mean it is for everyone, as long as the mom is happy and baby is healthy, I don’t see why we should care about how other moms give birth.

I gave birth twice unmedicated. I don’t look down on anyone for how they choose to go through labor. We all have different pain tolerances and circumstances.

I didn't get an epidural with my first and I don't give two shits what anyone else decides to do with their own labor 🤷‍♀️
I didn't want an epidural because I hate needles and I'm prone to nausea and vomiting with that stuff. I'd rather be in intense physical pain than be sick, its an honest fear of mine. So of course my second child resulted in a c-section 😂 those drugs are no joke!
