What would you do? My baby has a cold for 5 days now and she is also cutting her top teeth. Would you take her to the doctor or wait it out a few more days? I have given her hylands cold tablets. Any suggestions please. Thanks

They can’t do anything for a cold, theres no reason to bring her in. Use a humidifier, baby chest rub and sit in a bathroom with the shower on hot to steam out the mucus.

If it were my kid, I’d probably only wait 2 more days, unless it started to get better (or fewer days if it started to get worse). 
Both my kids are incredibly prone to ear infections, and my oldest ended up needing tubes in her ears. All of their ear infections started out as colds and neither would pull at their ears or do anything else to indicate an ear infection.
I just took my March baby into his clinic’s urgent care two weekends ago because he’d given himself pink eye from a cold he had for two days (no fever). The doc found that he also had a double ear infection 🤦🏼‍♀️

Wait it out, my daughter had a cold for no joke 2 weeks. It was the worstttttt thing ever and now here I am sick haha. Thanks baby girl. Hope baby feels better ASAP!

You can call to see what the nurse said. With dd2, last friday I called about benadryl and she said if her cough didnt go away by day 7 to come in. During the middle of the night of day 7 she was miserable, I took her, she has an ear infection 😓. Now that shes on the antibiotics her cough has actually almost disappeared.

Same here I took her to the doctor yesterday. She wouldn't sleep so I was desperately trying to find something to do. Last night we gave her Tylenol used saline and sucked out her boogies and used zarbees chest rub and she slept the whole night. Doctor said there really isn't anything else you can do for a cold but all of that at bed time helped

Unless my son’s breathing seemed different or he had a fever that wouldn’t break, I would wait it out.  or if I just had a gut feeling to go then I would go. I’ve learned to always trust my gut.

My daughter had a cold for about a week. She had a runny nose and would occasionally sneeze or cough. The doctor basically said if she was breathing fine and no fever, that he didn’t need to see her unless it lasted like 14 days. ❤️
