Mother in law

So a little back story unfortunately we are having to stay at my mother in law’s home until we can get our own apartment again hopefully soon ! So thing is my husband travels out of town for work weekly so he’s never home only weekends. Well idk why but whenever we need something at home she text him and tells him. he’s so busy sometimes he won’t even tell me and it makes me look bad I’m not mad at my Hubby though Iknow how busy he gets. Also with the rent she will text him so he can tell me to get the rent 😑 the house owner comes early sometimes or the date always changes it’s weird. I just don’t understand why she doesn’t communicate these things to me ? I’m the one who is home not him he’s busy tell me i see you every day 😭 I’m thinking about telling her this. But can y’all help me with a good form of telling her this I don’t wanna come off as rude.
