How to get burnt smell out my hair!!??

Question

I wash my hair only once a week, sometimes twice ( yes once or twice and no I’m not dirty ) 
Because I have a lot of hair loss and washing it 3-4 times a week will make it worse , anyway whenever I straighten my hair it smells burnt 
Even after I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner it still smells. Even after 2-3 washes the smell doesn’t go away!! 
My hair straightener is not cheap
( idk if all hair straighteners leave a smell ) 
I just need someone to tell me how to get rid of this burnt hair smell off my hair 
It’s a turn off for me and my husband lol 
Are there any hair creams or something for this ?

Make sure your hairs 100% dry, and try some protection spray on your hair beforehand too. Maybe turn the heat down a little on your straightener, maybe the heats too high?

Is your hair loss due to a medical condition? Your hair shouldn’t smell after using heat tools. Have you tried using heat protectant on your hair before using the flat iron?  Have you tried turning the heat down?   I would suggest a clarifying shampoo to see if you could pull out some of the smell and then using hydrating shampoos and conditioner. Always use a heat protectant before using a hair dryer or other styling tools and always make sure your hair is 💯 dry before using the tools.

Do you add any product to your hair before straightening it? I’ve found that waiting to add any oils or finishing products until afterward has reduced that burnt hair smell significantly.

Girl turn down the heat on your straightener. And invest in a good heat protectant product

I would take a break from straightening your hair girly. Give it a little break and do some deep moisturizing treatments. Also make sure to not have the heat on to high and do not use any oils on your hair until after because it will fry your hair
