At what age did your babies started staying awake longer?

Just trying to figure if my baby is fighting naps because he is just not ready yet ( after 2 hours of being awake) or if he’s just having separation anxiety? 
He is 24 weeks as of yesterday.

My daughter was doing the same until I kept her awake a little longer. She was staying awake for 2 hours and each time she was awake I would entertain her for an extra 10 minutes. After a few days of her being awake for 2hr 10min I pushed her 10 more minutes. After a week we are at 2 hours and 30 minutes of awake time and it seems to be the right amount for now.

My son sleeps through the night and takes 2-4 naps depending on how long he naps. The only schedule we keep him on is sleep eat play and he goes to sleep between 7-7:30 pm at night.

Mine is 25 weeks today. Last week he started staying up 3:30-8:30 in the evening. Most of the week. A couple days he still took his evening nap. He’s still only awake 1.5-2 hours the rest of the day. If I recall right it was around this age my first dropped his evening nap.

Maybe your baby is overtired? When my daughter was a baby she couldn't handle being awake longer than 1-1.5 hours. If I missed her sleep window even by just 10-15 minutes, she would fight naps and have disrupted naps. My son now has a much easier temperament and can go for 2 hours.

My daughter is 25 weeks and she never sleeps... she is up 6:30am-12:30pm then will nap for 30 minutes to an hour and will be up usually until 4:30ish and nap 30 minutes and be up until 8:30-9pm and sleep and wake up every hour for a 3oz bottle if she’s in her bassinet and every 2/4 hours when she co-sleeps with me when my husband works at night. My 3.5 year old did this until she was 2.5 years... so I’m praying she gets better soon
