Advice needed - my baby boys belly button

My baby boy is 6 weeks old now and his belly button has been like this for about 2 weeks now. Has not looked as red and sore as it does now. Took him to the doctors last week who told me this was normal and provided antibiotics for the slight oozing. Came home to realise he prescribed the wrong dose AND antibiotics and my baby can’t have them. I’m going to take him back for a second opinion but just wondering if anyone has had similar and if there are any tips to make it a little better at home?
