Baby Carriers?

My daughter will be two weeks old on Wednesday. I NEED a good reliable/affordable carrier or sling!  We braved the grocery store by ourselves today and the carseat sitting in the bottom of the buggy just wasn't her cup of tea. I want something that keeps her close to me and covered decently if possible, since she's so young and we're entertaining germ season.  What do you recommend as a parent?

I have 2 babies and the same thing worked well each time. I use the Baby K’tan wrap for the first couple months (soft fabric, molds easier to baby’s tiny body when they’re very small and keeps them very close against you). 
And then I switch to the Ergo Baby which is more solid material and great for when they can hold their own head up a bit better and have a sturdier body (around 3 months). The soft fabric is best for the really little ones, and once they grow the sturdy material is great for helping your back with their weight.

Ergo Baby. It’s pricey but it’s worth it! I have it since my daughter was a newborn and now she is 2 and she still fits in it and my back doesn’t hurt at all. She is over 3 feet tall as well.

I loved my boba wrap. Baby comfortably hung out in there while we shopped, I did chores around the house, and just when my arms needed a little break. Having her so close was comfy for both of us.
