How did you know you wanted to marry them?

For the people on here who are married, how did you know your spouse was the one you wanted to commit to for the rest of your life? Was there a specific moment? Or was it just something you realized over time? And what was the most important factor (eg similar values, feeling like they’re your best friend, love/romance/sex, etc) in making your decision?

When it started to feel like calling him my “boyfriend” was an inaccurate descriptor of how serious we were about each other. It felt like an underexaggeration.

I am not married yet, but I know I will marry my boyfriend some day! We have been together for 7 months. When we meet honestly it was like a soul connection. I knew within a week I wanted him in my life forever. He recently, about a month ago, has been talking about marriage and how he will marry me.

I think n me and hubby were 3 months in when I knew I wanted to marry him. We were in his car, driving somewhere. I told him I loved him and he looked at me and said it back. I remember thinking I want marry this guy one day. It wasn't just a moment though. It was the way he treated me and others, his humbleness and his values.

I knew something was different with him before I even meet him. I kept hearing my friend( male friend lets call him joe) talking about hanging out with my husband ( lets call him john.) Every time joe talked about john I felt jealous of the time spent with john and couldn't figure out why. Well some time later joe brought john to a bible study I attended. It was  infatuation at first sight, at least for me. Several months later I started working at the school that john was attending ( he was a senior and I was a year older than him) we saw each other but never really talked. Then July 4th 2016 he asked me to date with the intention of marriage. 18 months later we married. I can't say for sure when it changed from like to love but I remember riding in the tractor with him bailing hay and the song came on "she's in love with the boy " by Trisha yearwood.  I remember thinking this is our song...we had been dating for a week at that point. I didn't realize how true that would be. The song pretty much describes our dating relationship.

We had been together less than six months. I moved in 3 months earlier. It was Early October, Thanksgiving night last year. After family dinner at home him and I were lying on the couch and I realized I wanted to be legally bound to this guy for the rest of my life. We came home the night before from being with his family and all the kids. And I finally enjoyed a family holiday for the first time in decades. I can’t imagine living my life with anyone other than him.
