Hi everyone, I'm new here. My fiancé Mohamed and I are getting married in the spring, and will be TTC as soon as we can after that. I will be a month past 40 by the time we marry (I was married previously but my first spouse didn't want children). As he is in Egypt and I am in the U.S., right now we are apart more than we are together, sadly. If we are able to get pregnant during one of my two-week visits (I am able to take 2 per year now) there is a good chance that I will have to deliver our baby alone in America while we wait for his CR1 visa to be approved (which currently takes about 13 months after the paperwork is filed). And of course, trying to plan travel around my cycle is maddening and stressful and certainly doesn't help us when TTC. Have any of you been in a similar situation? I worry about losing our opportunity for a family because of our circumstances. It would be nice to talk to someone who has gone through something similar.
