As a woman what are things you do to protect your safety?

As women we have to do a lot of things men don’t even think about to protect ourselves.
I walk around my whole car before getting in, checking my backseat and under my car. I lock the doors as soon as I get in. I have pepper spray on my keychain. I always have 911 typed into my phone while walking alone. I never pump gas alone at night or go into gas stations. 
It saddens me we have to go through so many extra steps to keep ourselves safe. What are some you do?

I do the same things, as well as hold my key through my fingers in case I have to protect myself. I always have my purse secure in case someone wants to snatch it.

I concealed carry my gun and avoid going places at night by myself.

I don’t feel unsafe so I don’t do anything in particular. I mean, if I walk alone at night I’ll walk in the light but that’s mostly so that cars can see me, not because I’m scared someone will jump me 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don't know maybe I live in a safer area because I don't do any of those things or feel like I would need to.

Nope. I really don't do anything. I am aware of my surroundings and avoid situations that would make me uncomfortable.

I have my conceal carry permit, so I always carry my gun. Especially if I am alone

I was raised to be scared of everything. It hindered me until about 2 years ago. I got sick of being scared of the dark and what could happen. Yes I know bad people are out there. But bad people aren’t always strangers. I lived 38 years with people who supposedly loved me who did terrible harm to me in various ways. I was taught to be so scared of strangers to not even look in my own home for danger.

I carry a gun. Pepper spray on key ring. Flashlight in hand at night (can temporally make it hard for them to see) and not much else. We live in a very safe area

my car sends alerts if anyone breaks in so i don't have to check. i go straight to my car, get in and lock the doors. i keep my watch charged at all times in case i have to make an emergency call, and from when i was 9-15 one of my aunts would sign me up for self-defense classes. 
the gas stations here are fine. there's always multiple attendants and it's rare for the pumps to be completely empty. on campus, during the evening i call the campus security and they dispatch a car to take me to my car/home so i don't have to walk around alone in the dark.

Truthfully I don’t do a whole lot . I do own guns but that’s me an my husbands thing as well. But I’m pretty well trained in self defense mainly due to the fact that my husband was mma involved for years . I’m a very high alert person naturally so I don’t really go out of my way to notice/check things bc if something’s wrong my body automatically picks up and notices on its own.
