Hi guys,

I am considered high risk due to my first baby being born at 31 weeks. With my 2nd baby, I had makena injections and everything was totally normal. She was born right on her due date. Now with this pregnancy I am totally miserable. I will be 34 weeks tomorrow. I am supposed to get a shot tomorrow and then two more at 35 and 36 weeks. However, I think I’m going to stop after tomorrow. I have been diagnosed with puppps rash and it is all over my body. Since it started, my injections develop a huge bruise and get covered in the rash. The rash gets worse and my whole arm is sore for 48 hours at least after each shot. I wake up scratching and now that it is cold out, the heat and dry are is making it worse as well. I just think that at this point, the misery from the rash is doing more harm then the benefits of the makena. My cervix is long and closed, no contractions and I’m showing no signs of going early. Has anyone else had puppps and makena shots or stop the shots early?
