Winter maternity clothing?

Question

Does anyone have any tips for dressing the bump during winter months? I’m 20 weeks, living in Colorado. So far I’ve been able to make do with a mix of “regular” clothes and a few maternity pieces but not for long! I don’t really want to spend a lot of money on a new coat and winter wardrobe that I’m only going to wear for one season. What do other winter mamas do?

First baby I had was due in March so I’ve already got winter maternity clothes from things I bought during that pregnancy. Mostly from motherhood store where I bought everything on clearance for great deals. Big fan of fleece lined maternity leggings and just a long/short sleeve maternity top with one of my many pre-pregnancy cardigans on top. For outerwear, I wore my own winter coat with chunky scarves since I couldn’t zip it up at first. And eventually I wore a coat from my mom who wears L/XL and I’m a small. Will take one of her coats again this time around.

I was pregnant last winter and I layered a lot. My SIL said she used her husbands XL winter coat and that worked for her

I try and go to stores like goodwill or salvation army. Not all the time will I find something but sometimes they have a good item or two. I do though buy off of ebay too, that's where I get my maternity pants.

I just went to Goodwill and got a ton of longer sweater!!! I paid $1 each because of the color tag week and they are amazing. They should last me another month then I plan on

wearing some camis underneath. I got a fee longer ones than these but these smaller ones are my fav.
Also, look on facebook marketplace. If you want brand new I have found good maternity at Ross and Target!!

I’m struggling with this too. Started out in Florida, so I’ve got tons of summery maternity clothes, but almost nothing for winter. We moved back to Ohio two weeks ago, so far I’ve gotten a pair of jeans and a shirt from a consignment shop, and a few pairs of leggings from target and Wal-Mart. I need long sleeve shirts and a coat though... I wore one of my old long sleeves the other day and it barely fits over the bump 😬

I do lots of open flowing sweaters that aren’t maternity with long sleeve solid color maternity shirts underneath—just the plain cotton ones, nothing fancy & super cheap lol...
Lots of leggings with my boots.
& i won’t buy a maternity winter coat....at least not a new one...i would look at 2nd hand shops or on your local buy trade sell groups via Facebook!

I’m in Chicago and ended up buying a maternity coat from old navy. I’m mostly doing maternity tshirts and cardigans I already owned but I got a few sweaters from kohl’s (they were cheap enough) plus I plan on reselling it all once the baby is born

I went to Walmart and got their sweaters a size up and they fit perfectly without looking too big or frumpy. Always try on the clothes first because sometimes they are not very flattering to round bellies. A good pair of maternity leggings and a soft and comfy sweater is your best friend.
