My bf and his baby momma

Sooo I’m new to the whole dating someone with a kid and him and I are both 20 and his bm is 17 her and I share the same birthday so when I’m 21 she’ll be 18.

Her and the baby live in a whole other state she won’t let him get him he’s only seen his child for a month of his life and he cries when he gets pics and videos of him.

Should I be okay with them being friends and talking as besties like “hey wyd” conversations? I’ve talked to my mom and a friend that has dated someone with kids before and they said it should just be strictly about the baby! I need opinions and I personally feel like he still wants to be with her they broke up when she moved out of state with her parents and i feel like it’s just a matter of time before she’s 18 and back here! She tells me I’m temporary and that she’ll be having the same conversation with another girl soon. He tells me he hates her but then he’ll do this thing that pisses me off “ that’s one thing i will say about that girl she did my laundry for me” he’ll always say something like that he’s said it like 3 times different things tho one of them was when i was petting his dog and he goes “that dog loves that girl” like why are you telling me this but he says he loves me when we have sex he’ll tell me he loves me when he’s cumming in me. We’ve broken up three times and all three times the first person he tells is her I’ll post one of the screenshots. Anything would help at this point my heart loves him but my stomach hurts because I have a bad feeling idk also he doesn’t want her in a relationship and i feel like that’s a sign
