My son has had his vaccinations but my friends little one isn’t vaccinated. The vaccines are live so I’m wondering if it’s safe for them to be around each other? This may sound silly but I don’t want her baby to catch anything if there’s a risk. They were done 5 days ago.

Maybe your friend should vaccinate 💁🏻‍♀️
Most live vaccines shed in the stool so as long as your friends kid doesnt play in your kids poop,he wont get anything but could very well catch anything from anybody else.
Id stay away from antivaxxers but thats just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s fine. Vaccines may be “live” but the virus/bacteria cannot multiply or be passed person to person. Vaccines have either dead virus or live virus, the live virus is inactive (non-multiplying).

It should be fine. There is no data that has conclusively shown there is a risk when one kid receives a live vaccine and the other is to young.
