Where can I LEARN how to dress?

Question

I often look frumpy. Mix matched style. Or I pick cheap material clothes. I want to learn how to match colors and pick quality clothing. Any reddits for this? Or something that's actually educational? Pinterest is a hit or miss. 
I like french chic style. And capsule wardrobes.
Please be careful of suggesting a google/YouTube generic phrases 😁. I'm looking for something that specifically "teaches" dressing principles.

Well for a "french" look I'm definitely not the one to be asked as I'm Italian BUT I always go to france and what they do is they put hyperminimalistic effort in makeup 🤣 like just lipstick, mascara and a mute eyeshadow. Always chic.
For clothes I'm with you I can't dress well for the life of me but I've heard black and nude colours always look good

I have learned in life that trends come and go but if you find something that fits your body, it’ll last you a lifetime. Look for clothes that fit your body type and fit your body in the right places. Start off we basics, then add accessories to give you the personality you want.

you can look up lookbooks on youtube, and watch videos about different cuts of clothing that flatter different body types the most. then just experiment at a thrift store. bring friends who are into fashion to give honest opinions about whether or not pieces are flattering (but remember if you really like it, who cares? clothes are a form of self-expression). 
one of my bffs needed to update his wardrobe so the rest of us went with him to get him out of his comfort zone and try more form fitting/flattering pieces. when you look good, you feel good. especially when you figure out your own personal style :)
