Let me give y’all a little story...

I know that people say babies all develop at their own time. However, my baby is 7.5 months and hadn’t mastered the art of rolling over. He sits perfectly on his own since 5 months (reaches all milestones language wise, mentally etc) but wouldn’t roll over. I was so concerned because of some many things, primarily because I’ve read that rolling over is a “mandatory milestone” and seeing so many babies doing this when they were 4/5 months had me questioning if I did something wrong. Yesterday we had an appointment with his pediatrician, he told us that he had concerns that our baby wasn’t rolling, or even crawling or pulling himself up and recommended we take him to OT/PT. Well, I am not sure if there was a baby whisper there but when we got home yesterday (I was in a funk and sad but positive about OT/PT due to early intervention) he started rolling like there was no tomorrow and started army crawling like crazy (he is so unstoppable now that he knows he can runaway from )

I guess my point to myself and some concerned mamas is that a baby will do things at their time. We can only help them and encourage them! :) don’t compare your babies or get discouraged if they aren’t “where other babies are” it steals the joy of parenting.
