How do I stop locking my jaw in my sleep?

My head hurts so bad from locking my jaw in my sleep and holding it. Last night I actually had a dream that a body builder had a grip on my jaw and was holding it telling me it was gonna “release me”🤨🤨🤨 I think I need help

I clench in my sleep and during the day as well. I finally purchased a night guard through my dentist. Wearing a night guard doesn’t prevent clenching but protects your teeth from wear and cracking, and seems to help reduce the severity of my headaches from clenching.
