Is it crazy that I don't want any pictures/videos of my son posted on any form of social media?

My SO and I have not posted anything about the pregancy or about my son who is now 3 months old on any form of social media. However I got a ton of back lash from our familys for making this same request of them. (Who by the way posted my ultrasounds on facebook with out my permission). What is everyones thoughts about their children and social media?

Doesn’t matter my thoughts, you’re the parent and that needs to be respected. You decide what’s best for your child, end of.

Some family members of mine did the same thing. At first I thought it was a little odd but in the end I realized it didn’t really make a difference. I think too many people are too caught up in social media. They’ll get over it.

I don't post my children on any social media. Facebook didn't need to know I was pregnant or had a child, and nobody is our family talks about them on social media as per our wishes.

My family did the same. I never posted anything about my pregnancy on social media and I didn’t announce my sons birth on there. Before I even had him we made sure that family knew that we didn’t want him on there for MULTIPLE reasons not excluded to us having a stalker. A few people decided to go against our wishes and they didn’t like it when we told them to take it down, with a couple people we almost had to get a lawyer involved. People need to learn a little thing called respect. Not everyone lives there life’s on social media.

Your child, your choice. Nobody has the right to post pictures of your baby without your consent. I do think it's a bit much to not allow ANY pictures on even something personal like Facebook.

I’m not a fan of sharing pictures on Facebook, when my first was born I would post a little more often than the monthly update i now do with my second baby. 
One of my aunts ALWAYS steals the picture and shares it on her Facebook with too much information. I tried to ask her to stop but she is old and really doesn’t get online privacy. It used to infuriate me. I tried excluding her from my post but then the family would talk about it she would wonder why she couldn’t see them. She outed her son when he and his gf got pregnant, so she does this to everybody.
She’s the reason I limit my posts. If family takes pictures of baby I won’t ask them not to post anymore but they know I’m not a fan.

Same thing happened to me with the ultrasound except it was my sister in law. And she never asked. It's so weird, like that's a picture of my uterus...🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
We have posted maybe 2-3 photos of him on Facebook (he's almost 5 months now) but close friends and family get constant pics and updates via WhatsApp.

I have exactly the same feeling. I don’t have social media at all and I don’t want my kids faces online. As much as I love that my family love them, I don’t want random people having access to photos of my child.
