What were some of the symptoms those with depression/bipolar disorder had prior to being diagnosed?

Fatigue, sleeping too much and too little, loss of appetite, extremely irritable, crying, loss of interest in most activities, nightmares, isolation, anxiety, feeling hopeless

My sister was always super irritable, she was happy one minute but even a look cpuld get her to the point where she was crying with anger. She was pretty depressed as well and she never ate, she’d always sleep in and she’d stay up all night pacing the living room

Up all night crying. Then just as awake in the morning feeling up and happy. That's referred to as rapid cycling which was a terrifying experience. As the sun went down so did my emotions. As it came up same thing, I went up.
