Do you feel that there is enough services and support for couples going through infertility in your area? (US)

It depends where you live. We have a very highly rated clinic 30 minutes from us, which to me is a short drive. Support wise I haven’t found much for support groups outside of what the clinic provides. 
I think a huge issue is how taboo infertility still is. Even my own husband didn’t want people to know what we were going through, as he felt embarrassed and ashamed. We are in our wait to find out if our first round of IVF worked and whether it’s this one or a future round, we’ve already discussed being open about our struggle when we announce. I will have my needles in the photo and a message in the post letting everyone I know that if they are struggling or going through something similar, they can turn to me. Lack of emotional support and guidance through infertility is something I’m really intent on trying to help fix.

No we have to go to another state, even for things such as semen anylsis and other testing.

There are services around me i believe but I dont think the support is there. Infertility still seems to be a taboo topic and I dont like that. Alot of people dont understand and arent educated on the topic to understand why some people cant simply get pregnant or carry a child a term. I am a little more open about my infertility and PCOS. I do share it with my mom and friends. But when family always ask the question "When are yall going to have a baby? Its your turn next." If i reply with its not that simple for some people. They dont understand. And i dont share it with people to get pity or for anyone to feel sorry for me. Thats why I am not completely open about it because people act awkward and they may think I want pity or something. And i dont, thats not my point.

No, there are no services near us, we would have to drive out a couple hours. 
It makes it even more difficult, time consuming, and a lot more money. It makes me so sad and we feel discouraged at times.

Yes but only because i live in a bigger city. There are three Ivf clinics to choose from and a local support group i could go to if i wanted. But i doubt that is the norm

Haha no. I live in Utah where Mormons pop out like 10 kids back to back. It's basically unheard of for someone not to be able to have kids.

There is enough in my area, it’s just does insurance cover anything and usually it doesn’t, so then your left with can you even afford it!
