So i was told not to mop or sweep until 6 weeks or so im 3 weeks pp can i sweep and mop already? or should i wait i really dont know if my mom tells me because of old wife tales or because my back will be aching and all that??

Lol I just asked my mom who is Panamanian, she believes some of that stuff.. she believes you aren’t supposed to leave the house for 30 days after birth, or go outside at night time for 30 days, she also says that you are supposed to wait the 6 weeks to have sex or later in life you’ll get cancer in your uterus for not taking care of yourself (hope that isn’t true) 😅 but I never heard her tell me anything about sweeping or mopping! 
She just responded back to me, and she says you are supposed to wait the 6 weeks so you don’t hurt your lower back and taking care of yourself.. hope that helps 😅

Not because of your back, but what happened to my a friend was that she kept on doing things such as bending over and caring heavy objects and that lead her bladder to go back out of place. Therefore she wouldn’t have control of it and needed surgery to put it back on the right place

I swept & mopped since giving birth 😳  but yeah my boyfriends gma said i couldnt but who else is gona clean & cook? Lol so yeah.

With my First I started sweeping and mopping at 3 weeks and my mother would tell not too but I don’t depend on no one so someone had to do it o regret. Now I am 5 weeks postpartum but I had a c section with this one and my mother hasn’t let me sweep  or mop . On Saturday I swept and moped and when I was done I could walk my lower back hurt so bad . So it can be true or depending on your body 🤷🏻‍♀️
