Would you stay with someone you were dating if they found out they had herpes? If you really loved them?

I mean, are we talking type 1 or type 2? Because even though I've never had one, my mom, grandma, dad, dad's wife and the majority of my uncle's ALL get them. I'm pretty sure that doesn't make any of them unlovable, but that's just me 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️ people are afraid of what they don't know. How could you not love someone because of this? I don't understand.

No not if they had slept with me and didn’t tell me. Or even kissed me or if we did anything. That is fucked up not to tell someone prior so I guess it depends.

No. If you want to stay then you can definitely continue a normal relationship despite them having herpes. Some people would be fine with that but it’s a no from me dawg

I recently had a herpes outbreak (genital) and had never had this happen before. My boyfriend of 5 months found out as soon as I did. We have a long distance relationship so I was constantly calling him to update him with doctors appointments when I had went to get tested. I had my first outbreak the 4th month into our relationship. I was scared to death to tell him what the doctors thought it could possibly be. We have talked about it and he said he still loves me and will always be there for me. It’s a scary diagnosis but the more I have learned about it the less extreme it really is.

Would you stay???
