Relationship patterns
I've been with my boyfriend for 5 months. I've also known of his first love for 5 months. The day we decided to date was the same day she broke up with him (month and day). Huh.
Well now she's made me crazy. I accept his past and that he will tell me about it sometimes (just like he'll tell me about his friends; she was one). But what's been difficult to except is that his ex girlfriend is a pretty great person, and I just can't convince myself she's not. You know why? Because she's a lot like me in some ways. Emotional, creative, and wants the same goddamn car I do.
I love my boyfriend to death and he is truly a great one. He may be stubborn but he is understanding and always shows he loves me. He doesn't love her anymore, I know. It's just strange she keeps coming back in little ways, sometimes in ME. And I hate that. But I suppose that's what a type is.
