My husbands mom is awful and our family is non communication now (happily).

Two years ago he met his father (who had no idea he existed) and his wife/step mother. They turned out to be lovely people. I mean so lovely I'd be happy if they lived right next door. They unfortunately live in another state and we've flown out there once and them here once. We talk on Skype about once a month.

We want to get them a Christmas gift. My hubby is figuring out what to get his dad and I'm trying to figure out what to get my MIL.

I know she likes zumba but we gave her a bunch of zumba and exercise stuff for the last couple gifts. They just moved to Florida and go boating sometimes.

I really don't want to get her the things you give sally from the office that you don't know well ... such as candles or bath stuff that screams I don't really know you... and even though I don't know her that well yet I feel like I want to communicate she's important to us all. We're already giving her something home made from our son.

Does anyone have any gift suggestions?
