Look for a food based prenatal with methylfolate instead of folic acid. Methylfolate (sometimes referred to as just folate or L-5-MTHF) is the natural form of folic acid and it’s more easily absorbed by your body, therefore your baby gets more benefits from it. I also try to avoid gummy vitamins because they don’t have iron in them, which is one of the most important vitamins while pregnant. I personally also look for vitamins without DHA because I prefer to take a fish oil supplement separately to make sure it’s high quality (low mercury, wild caught, etc) since most DHA and fish oil sources are not high quality, but if you want to make your life a little easier you can buy one that has DHA in it already. My favorites are Megafood Baby and Me 2, Garden of Life vitamin code raw, Rainbow Light, and New Chapter perfect prenatal.

I use the rainbow lite. They are amazing! Plant based, the pill doesn’t have the coating, and they are sensitive. Wonderful! I love the brand so much I got my husband a men’s one a day and plan to do the woman’s one a day for myself

I got the ones from GNC, good price..good quality. There’s one called the “Perfect Prenatal” also but it’s kind of pricey. Great quality though.
