Is this a faulty test?

Does it matter that one end of the test line is darker than the other?
(I posted this in the faint lines group as well. I had a chemical last month and my period is due tomorrow so I’m sorry for being super super nervous about this 😬. 13dpo, FMU, taken at 3 minute mark, 12dpo was stark negative)

Turns out it was indeed faulty. I tested again on a 5 hour hold last night and with FMU this morning:

So I contacted First Response to ask about the test line looking like that (how it’s darker on one end) and they said that since I had a clear negative yesterday (photo here) that this might be a faulty test. They’re sending me some new ones, and said I should test again tomorrow 🤞🏼. Here’s hoping for a clearer result!
