Can you ovulate when period so late

I’m 5/6days late for AF and have been doing hpt they’ve all came back negative!! I’ve just done an ovulation test (god knows why) and it’s quite positive could I be ovulating after a missed period I’m not suppose to ovulate till 2/3 weeks time 😫😫
