I feel it's a necessity to see if you're truly compatible. A lot of things change when you move in together. You see all their annoying habits and you both may have completely different standards for how you like to keep up the home. These things are very important to know before marriage.

My husband and I started living together at 16 and we were only together a month... 13 years later we are still together plus married for going on 7 years.

I don't see the need to live together before marriage.  My husband and I don't. I didn't notice any huge learning curve or any huge problems. We had dated 18 months and knew how the other person worked we spent our dating time, not going on fun dates but working together.  You don't need to live with someone to know who they are and what they are like. I would have never moved in with him  before marriage nor would I recommend anyone do so. I don't see the point.

I think living together before marriage shows you how the other person lives. Like if you guys can live together and agree on those things you’ll be fine.

People are more ready to split now a days. Getting married before moving in is a way of saying we are going to be a team, learn to compromise, and figure out how to live together no matter what.

These are both huge commitments, lol.
I’d say live with them before you marry them. You don’t want to already commit and see the way they live afterwards.
You’re bringing two different worlds together and there will be (or maybe not) flaws in your partner. You’ll come to disagreements sometimes, but a good relationship communicates and works things out.
Once you’re living together, there’s no reason for pettiness or arguments because you’re gonna be sleeping on the same bed at the end of the day.
There will be bad things, but you know what you’re willing and not willing to put up with.
Always speak up if something bothers you because, if not,  and you get married, that’s what you’re going to be dealing with.

Me and my boyfriend have lived together for 2 years now and I love it. We have no plans to get married, it would literally not change a single thing in our lives .
