New to gym life

I want to make my body better and healthier and feel more confident about myself because I do have low self esteem. I started going to the gym lately but it’s hard for me becuase I don’t drive and I only go with my boyfriend and ever since I’ve been in my relationship I gained 50 pounds. And I want to look better. Can anyone give me any tips on workouts to do to tone my stomach down and my butt and back? Tips on food to make anything really I’m so new to all of this it’s pretty overwhelming
