Burger King is being sued over their impossible whopper, by a vegan who consumed the product, because its cooked on the same broiler as their meat burgers. The counter argument is that on the website it is advertised as a plant based product and can be microwaved instead of broiled, on the broiler where meat has been cooked, upon request.

I side with the man who is suing because its advertised as 100% whopper 0% beef on the posters and on the commercials. The only place it says a damn thing that even insinuates that it is not vegetarian is on the website in the fine print, so to speak. If I were a vegan, I'd definitely research everything I consumed, so I can see where he could have gone that extra step. However, it is advertised as a vegetarian option and I would assume that since it's being offered as a vegetarian burger, that it would automatically be cooked on a separate surface. I find it ridiculous that Burger King is trying to use the term "plant based" as an argument for cooking a vegetarian burger on a grill with meat grease on it. I don't know a single vegetarian who is just okay with having their food prepared on a surface where meat has been, or having a dish and just picking the meat off. That's not how that works. Dairy products? Sure, some are okay with that. Honey? Sure. But actual product from a dead animal? Absolutely not okay.
