When should I have a baby shower?

I'm 19 weeks and I don't know when the appropriate time to have a baby shower is.. my luck I'll go into labor early and I want to have everything for the baby before then.. when should we have a shower... around 30 weeks?

I am due March 10, and will have mine January, at the latest early February

I'm due March 28th and we're having ours February 11th. I originally wanted it in January,  but unfortunately can't due to family.

You want to have time to get items that you might need and didn't receive from the baby shower, without feeling rushed. You also want to be able to enjoy the shower, and not be miserable. I'm due March 24, I'm having one on January 23, and another with church people on January 30.

I have to have one shower in Pennsylvania where I live and another in Virginia where my whole family lives.. traveling is going to be hard in January since that's snow season..
