What will happen if I tell my OB I’m depressed?

What exactly will happen if I tell my OB I am depressed? Or have had suicidal thoughts? (not actively suicidal, just thoughts, there’s a difference) 
What will she do/say. Is it an instant call to CPS, mental hospital, medication, etc? Or what 🙁

Probably medication and/or a referral to counseling. You won't be sent to a hospital unless your OB feels like you are a significant danger to yourself or others. CPS shouldn't get called unless your OB has a reason to suspect child(ren) are being neglected or abused.

She’s probably just give you a number to a therapist. My obgyn referred me to one during my miscarriage and when I found out I was pregnant again. Pregnancy makes every emotion feel 10 times stronger especially anxiety and sadness. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help. It’s brave of you to even think about telling her!
