Pineapple in pregnancy?

So my biggest craving during pregnancy is pineapple. I googled to see if it was safe during pregnancy and it says that it is. I eat it quite a bit. Has your doctor told you pineapple is safe or not safe? I have an appointment next week and I'll be talking to my doctor about it. I'm 27 weeks and 4 days but I've been eating it since probably 20 weeks.

I wish this myth would just go away. 😂 Seeing this way too often on here. You will not go into labor by eating some pineapple. Even if you ate 10 whole, fresh pineapples I highly doubt it would send you into labor. Yes, it has an enzyme that helps soften the cervix but you’d have to eat so much it would make you sick before it did anything to soften your cervix.

I ate pineapple all throughout my last pregnancy bc I was craving it. I still went to 41+1 and had to be induced. You’d have to eat like 12 whole pineapples core and all - in one sitting- for it to remotely do anything. You’d have a sore mouth and upset stomach before anything else.

I ate an entire fresh pineapple when I was 38 weeks with my son to try to induce labor and it did nothing. You're fine.

It's fine, it helps to soften your cervix for labor so yes it would be good to eat while pregnant.
