So I was just diagnosed with HSV1 however I got genital herpes from it. I was diagnosed because I had a horrible outbreak and was tested.

My question is how fast do symptoms show after becoming infected? I slept with someone 10 days before and my doctor said it’s absolutely him. We did tons of oral and she said it’s most likely from that. She said and what I researched you get your first outbreak 2-7 days after coming in contact. So I told the guy I slept with and he’s denying it and saying he was just tested and had nothing.

However the only other guy I slept with was months ago once and we didn’t even do oral. My doctor said I would of had an outbreak by then if it was him.

Anyone have any advice on how fast symptoms occur?
