Perm or No Perm?

I haven’t perm my hair for over 10 months since the pregnancy and I’m am breastfeeding but i read so many things on the websites that I should wait for 2 months or 6 months and I am so sick of my hair. I do love see other people with natural hair but it isn’t me. And I know my husband like the natural hair but The hair products for natural is too high. Should I do it or talk to my doctors about it

Let that hair be natural hunny! It compliments the melanin. But seriously most of those expensive products aren’t a necessity...moisturize & protective styles.

You clearly said you don’t care for natural hair yet everyone continues to push their anti natural views 🙄 anyway. I’d say wait, do protective styles for now, maybe get some braids

I’ve been natural for almost 7 years now and I’d never go back!! With that being said, my hair is manageable so I only use Cantu leave in conditioner which is like $7 and lasts for a month. It’s all about finding a product that works for you and protective styles. I’m not for spending a lot of money on hair products

Wait until you know your hair is done shedding and the strands feel strong. I was natural and permed it during my 1st pregnancy bc my natural hair is not easy to maintain when long. But after the 1st and then 2nd pregnancy, my hair just couldn’t take the chemicals and it was thin, which is not normal for my extra thick hair. Pregnant with baby #3 and I’m natural but keeping it in a short taper. I still don’t like being natural bc it makes me look older and the products are hella expensive and may not even work. I’ll wait a year after birth and perm this ish again.

I permed with my first child and it didn’t do anything to him or me. Perm during the pregnancy and while breastfeeding and I breastfed him till he was two almost three. Different strokes for different folks. So do what is best for you love

No perm natural hair is very worth it and much cheaper than paying to get a relaxer touch up

I’m team natural but if you wanna perm it I’d wait until I’m no longer breastfeeding for baby’s safety.
