I think because they’re uneducated about it. They think it’s an abortion pill or that needing one shows a lack of responsibility... neither of which are true.

I’ve only seen people get annoyed about it when women are using it as a form of birth control- like “oh we didn’t have a condom so decided I could just get the morning after pill”. Or if they haven’t read side effects and then ask questions about their cycles being weird.

It bothers people when others use those pills multiple times in place of regular birth control methods, considering those pills are not meant to be used that way. 
It also bothers some people because they think those pills are the same as abortion pills, when they’re really not.

I’ve only seen it irritate people when they’re like “I just took one 3 days ago and took another one this morning, will it mess with my cycle?” Like yes obviously. Stop having unprotected sex until you get on birth control. Too many irresponsible people having sex.

In the sense some use it as a form of birth control, instead of taking better precautions and responsibility. In that case, yeah it’s annoying and not the purpose of taking the pill.
