Suspected sleep apnea???

My dd snores and opens her mouth when she sleeps. She is also super restless.. she will be all over he crib while she sleeps. She also doesnt sleep through the night. Somehow I came across this article and it said that it could be sign of sleep apnea.. anyone else??
I always thought it was normal for kids to sleep with their mouth open?

My first was the same. Turns out his adenoids were so large they blocked his nasal cavity. He had to have the out at 8 months because he couldn’t breath through his nose at all. He is perfect now :) definitely follow your instinct and get it checked out!

My daughter was a mouth breather and snorer.  It really concerned me as it’s not normal.  In our case, it ended up being a tongue tie and, after we fixed it, there was no more mouth breathing or snoring.  It took three months after to get to this as her palate needed to reform on its own.  This may not be your issue but I highly recommend a good pediatric dentist assessment.

No. Mouth breathing isn’t normal or good. Same with snoring. I’d definitely look into it!
