When do you take B-Complex and/or Virex

Hi all! Short luteal phase here due to breastfeeding.  I’m talking like 4 days.  Before my son, it ranged from 10 to 12.  I’ve always been too chicken to try vitex or b-complex. Please share your experiences and when in your cycle you took either.thank you!! :)

Following, i heard some only take them after O is confirmed and others the whole cycle?

I took vitex, the whole cycle. Made little difference tho, ovulation maybe 1day sooner and LF 1 day longer.
Only got pregnant after asking my dr for progesteron. 
Btw, my LF has been 8days for the past year.
