Me and my boyfriend starting dating in 7th grade. We are both sophomores now. We’re off and on, but it’s not a toxic thing. Sometimes we just can’t handle being together because the high school stress its always a mutual thing. Anyways, we broke up on Halloween.

We’ve been talking since then, talking about getting back together.

On weekends, he usually comes over to help me clean my dad’s office. This time he came over for 20 minutes afterwards and his mom got mad, she’s never really liked me.

My boyfriend wasn’t texting back, so I facetimed him to make sure everythings okay. His MOM picked up. Here’s the conversation.

His Mom: What you want?

Me: Oh, I’m sorry

His Mom: No jessica, don’t you have a boyfriend?

Me (confused): No?

His Mom: The whole school knows. Don’t play with my son.

Then my boyfriend texted me and told me he can no longer be in my life and said I use him and stuff, basically lies his mom told him.

But, hear me out.

His mom is really toxic. He’s told me before he loves me more than his mom because she lashes out for no reason at him and tells him he’s worthless and etc. That’s why I’m shocked that he’d believe her.

What can I say to him to make him chose my side? I don’t wanna make him go against his mom but, this is BS.
